Our Confession of Faith
The following Bible verses describe who and what we are in Christ Jesus:
We are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ. God chose us in Christ before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. All of us were baptized into His death so that we are now free from sin. Through water baptism we have also been raised from the dead, raised with Christ, being seated with Him in the heavenly realms in order to live a new life. Thus, we have been crucified with Christ and we no longer liver, but Christ lives in us.
Being born of water and the Spirit, we count ourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning because he has been born of God. For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves. Nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Justified freely by God's grace we live by faith. Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. The grace of our Lord was poured out on us abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
On this side of the cross we have become new creations. The old has gone, the new has come. So, not only did we die to sin, we also died to the law. By dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code. For it is now God who works in us to will and to act according to His good purpose.
Together we do not lack any spiritual gift. We have been enriched in every way. God's divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him. We are indeed a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God. As aliens and strangers in this world, we thank God that heaven is our home.
